Think of Pioneer Territory as one gigantic open-air museum. Indeed, no other of Nevada's territories captures the essence and flavor of the Silver State's colorful "boom and bust" mining history than does this vast slice of central Nevada. This is truly the heart of the Wild West, where the only law was a blazing six-gun and fortunes were made or lost in the span of a day. Stretching from Yerington in the northwest to Pahrump in the southeast, Pioneer Territory is the largest of the five territories that make up Nevada.
