The National Nuclear Security Administration offers free public tours of the Nevada Test Site, a secure, 1,375 square mile government facility that was the site of atmospheric and underground nuclear testing from 1951 to 1992. You will get a guided tour of such sites as the Sedan Crater, the Ice Cap tower, and News Nob Hill with its view of Yucca Flat, the site of many 1950s atmospheric atomic tests.
