The Nevada State Museum, Carson City actively engages diverse audiences in understanding and celebrating Nevada's natural and cultural heritage. The museum collects, preserves, and studies this heritage and shares it through exhibits, educational programs, publications, and research. Exhibits highlight the state's natural history, history, a replica walk-through mine and ghost town, the historic Carson City Mint, and the U.S.S. Nevada silver service. The award-winning "Under One Sky" exhibit explores Nevada's Native American heritage. We operate within the Division of Museums and History, Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
