  on Tourism

Rising out of the southern Nevada desert like a modern day Emerald City, Las Vegas is a fantasyland of resort hotels, exciting entertainment and casino gaming. Las Vegas also means sporting events and fun for the entire family at amusement parks and museums.

Visitors will find the Las Vegas Territory offers much more than the glitter and excitement of Las Vegas by discovering Red Rock Canyon, a spectacular natural scenic area only 20 minutes from downtown Las Vegas. Other state parks filled with natural wonders and the surrounding towns of Jean/Stateline, Laughlin, Henderson, Boulder City and Searchlight, to name a few, have much in store for the traveler. Water sports abound along the 600 mile shoreline of Lake Mead and a tour of Hoover Dam showcases this amazing man-made structure.
